Registration for Camp Cowboy 2018!

Camp Cowboy is a fun-filled experience for incoming OSU students that includes a ropes course, swimming, small groups, camp fires, meeting OSU athletes and administrators, and much more!

It is designed to prepare students to experience the best of what OSU has to offer. Your Camp Cowboy experience will provide an opportunity to meet other incoming freshmen, "experienced" OSU students, faculty and staff - all leading to an easier transition into college life and giving you an opportunity to create a support network within the university community.

This year's traditional camps take place on eight weekends during the summer.  The 2018 camp dates are as follows:

  • Camp 1 - June 1-3*

  • Camp 2 - June 8-10*

  • Camp 3 - June 15-17*

  • Camp 4 - June 22-24*

  • Camp 5 - June 29-July 1*

  • Camp 6 - July 6-8*

  • Camp 7 - July 13-15*

  • Camp 8 - July 20-22

  • Cowboy Quest - June 19-22

  • Transfer/Non-Traditional Camp Cowboy - August 19

*These Camp Cowboy sessions are tied to a New Student Orientation overnight program. 

The cost to register for Camp Cowboy is $200 (register here: http://newstudents.okstate.edu and includes on-campus housing, one day spent at Camp Redlands, all camp activities, meals and an OSU T-shirt. 

Additionally, we are offering Cowboy Quest - an adventure based program. Cowboy Quest is a hiking and camping expedition in the Ozark Mountings held in conjunction with OSU's Outdoor Adventure office.  Cowboy Quest will provide an exciting experience for students who enjoy the great outdoors but still want to learn what it means to be a true Cowboy!  All skill levels are welcome and camping supplies are provided.  The cost of this program is $250, which will appear on the student's first tuition bill in the fall semester.  If the cost factors into your decision, a limited number of registration fee waivers are available to those who qualify.  Please call 405-744-0383 with any other questions or visit campcowboy.okstate.edu/waivers to fill out the fee waiver application. 

We are also offering a one-day, condensed version of Camp Cowboy specifically for our Transfer and Non-Traditional students.  During the day, incoming students will connect with current and new Transfer/Non-Traditional students, learn OSU history and traditions, as well as discover the diverse engagement opportunities and resources this university has to offer.  The cost of this program is $50, which will appear on the student's first tuition bill in the fall semester.  If the cost factors into your decision, a limited number of registration fee waivers are available to those who qualify.  Please call 405-744-0383 with any other questions or visit campcowboy.okstate.edu/waivers to fill our the fee waiver application.
